On 22 November 2021, the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) published a discussion paper on clearing thresholds in the European Markets Infrastructure Regulation (Regulation (EU) 648/2012, EMIR) seeking feedback from market participants and from counterparties trading Over-The-Counter derivatives. The consultation period ends on 19 January 2022.
